Another attempt at matte lipstick, as you may or may not know I am not a huge fan of Kate Moss, but boy do her and Rimmel know how to make a wonderfully strong pigmented lipstick in just the right colour. When they brought out the matte range well it would just be rude to say no.
Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick 110
They Say:
Kate Moss brings colour to a new unique dimension. The gorgeous colour richness and COMFORT of Kate’s lipstick, now in a Velvety MATTE finish. Ruby Powder enriched formula to intensify the colour while keeping a matte finish all day long! Matte is re-invented for the most velvety comfortable colour EVER!
I Say:
This is a traditional lipstick in style. With the base sticker as a positive reflection of the colour of the product inside. The colour itself is an eye-popping pink peach coral with no sheen.
On application this goes on like a smooth velvet creme, without weighting down the lips too much. After time I found this lipstick didn’t crack and flake like the Revlon Matte version but it did have a similar grainy texture which made me feel a little self-conscious. If you really like the colour you could prevent this with a little lip balm but this would easily negate the whole idea of it being a matte lipstick.
As a product I would say it is fair but perhaps I am just not too much of a fan of the texture of matte lipsticks. The colour itself is lovely but not for those with an olive skin tone as it make the skin look far too grey/yellow!
Great post. Such a pretty colour, i’ll have to check it out X
Aww thanks! really sweet of you! x
