Penhaligon – Orange Blossom

originally created in 1976 and resurrected through the Anthology Collection launched in 2010 Orange Blossom £97 is back with us.

They Say:

Orange Blossom has been transformed into a luminous honeyed floral. Lush with Calabrian orange and bergamot and tempered with Virginian cedar, rose and peach flower. Wearing Orange Blossom is like walking from shade into warm sunshine.

Head Notes
Neroli, Violet leaf, Bergamot, Lemon-cedrat, Cardamom absolute, Pink berries
Heart Notes
Orange absolute, Egyptian jasmine absolute, Tuberose absolute, Rose essence, Peach flower, Orchid
Base Notes
Sandalwood, Virginian cedar, White musk, Vanilla

I Say:

For what seems a simple name, this fragrance is far more complex than it looks, woody, strongly and citrusy this is a wonderful fragrance for people who don’t like things too girlie in their lives. In conjures up autumnal dog walks and company by an open log fire as opposed to meadows and Spring flowers.

I have to say I was surprised how much I like this fragrance for everyday wear. Some of the stronger Penhaligons fragrances I worry can be overpowering for work, this scent is wonderful and invigorating. It is an inspirational fragrance, which awakens the mind.

A great bright fresh pampering pick me up for a the long work week ahead.
