Erbario Toscano Black Pepper Shower Gel

So my wonderful Botanical Aromatherapy Eucalyptus and Peppermint Body Wash that I reviewed here is slowly coming to an end so I was on the hunt for a new luxury bodywash. Being Winter I was on the hunt for something warming and earthy it was then I came across

Erbario Toscano Black Pepper Shower Gel

They Say:

The black pepper shower bath brings forth the power of the intensity of the perfume and the nourishing and protective active principles of its formula. Cleanses gently without aggressing the natural PH of the skin. Does not contain paraben.

Erbario Toscano is a brand known worldwide by devotees of the Tuscan style. Its products for body and hair care, perfumes and home fragrances, are witnesses of the authenticity of a region that is in touch with the everyday life of those who live elsewhere. This thanks to the ability of unique an international reality that has been able to transform every day actions into rituals of self-care and of the home. Erbario Toscano is the experience of a “lifestyle”.

Refined, in their extreme “craft” simplicity, Erbario Toscano products, suspended between art and beauty, are the ideal gift.

The details that make each packaging unique are complicit in recalling the experience of a trip to Tuscany, a journey that starts over again each day thanks to the aromas, the colours and the atmosphere felt and lived by both the body and the soul, and which become part of us.

Naturalness and quality are the main ingredients of the philosophy of Erbario Toscano.
The same environment from which inspiration is drawn and that becomes the essence of each fragrances, is treasured and respected. The most modern production technologies and quality control enhance the naturalness of an assortment where everything is “genuine”, not tested on animals and packaged using recyclable materials. The production also retains a “family” and “creative” dimension that makes each product unique and inimitable.

I Say:

Well its a big ask looking at their philosophy and ethos around their products. I have to say I adore the packaging similar the L’Occitane in the look of the product which I really like, as well as the fact it is paraben free. Something nice vintage and traditional. The downside is the fact the bottle is plastic really. I would have much preferred a glass bottle making to product reusable to recyclable at least. The plastic makes it seem a little…. well cheap.

The product itself doesn’t disappoint, a thick gel which lathers easily. I like bottles with plungers too for ease of use rather than messy lids and caps to work with. The smell is wonderfully warming and organic and earthy. For those who like light delicate fragrances this isn’t for you. For those who have their men moaning about their choice in shower gel, beware they may be stealing yours as it definitely has a masculine scent.

Personally for those winter months I like it, it something a little different and wonderful after a long stressful day or a cold winter walk to soak in the tub easing those muscles surrounded by the warming smell of spicy black pepper.
