MAC Eyeshadows Part III

Part 3 of my review of MAC eye pigments.

Being reviewed today are

Yellow Gold: Gold colour
Swish: Lighter Pink of the two
Rose: Deeper Pink

Yellow Gold:

MAC describes this as a  “Muted yellow-gold with a Veluxe Pearl finish”. I have to say this is one of my favourite go to shades. Perfect to blend in with so many other colours including the pinks below. It is a wonderful gold sheen with the yellow pigment still making it stand out rather tan it fitting into the bronze and neutral palette. This colour suits all skin types, olive, darker, and ivory. For me this is a must have beauty buy.

MAC describes this as a “Bright pink with icy shimmer with a frost sheen”. This is a wonderful lighter pink compared to the other MAC colours, I tend to blend it with the Yellow Gold (above) to save it being too much. Pink over a whole lid can be a little intense! I always worry it can me look like I have bloodshot eyes, for me a hint of pink is just enough and this provides this with a subtle sheen. I wear this to work quite comfortably and in the wonderful Summer weather why not give you make up a little colourful injection.

MAC describes this as “Rose w/ copper sparkle with a frost sheen”. I need to be honest with you, you only really need one of these pinks in your collection, if you are feeling brave go for a Rose, it has a stronger pigment better suited to olive and darker skins. Again the frost sheen gives it a lovely glimmer without it being too much. If you are a little nervous about pink this colour may not be for you, however for those that want a bolder colour definitely give it a go, you wont regret it!
