So in a further attempt to get a protein boost I bought this

What are the Key Benefits?
- Each serving (2 large scoops) provides you with 35g of high-quality protein. All of your organs and muscles are essentially built from proteins. These are the body’s building blocks, which contribute to the growth, maintenance and repair of lean muscle mass.
- Beta-Glucans (derived from the added oats) will contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
- Available in 6 delicious flavours that can be mixed with Greek yoghurts, smoothies, pancakes and even desserts.
This product has about 24 servings per pack, working out to be around 81p a serving. I was looking for a product that was going to replace Slimfast as a quick kick-start breakfast with a higher protein content (Slimfast has approx 10g per serving). This product more than triples this and with a comparative price whats not to loose.
I added this to almond milk making it around 262 kcals per 250ml serving. It is relatively easy to mix if you have a shaker with a whisk ball, or alternatively you can use your Nutribullet to whizz it up if at home.
Can I say the smell of the powder is just incredible and it does smell exactly like cookies and cream so I have to say I could not wait to try this. This, however is where the excitement ended, the texture was thick and creamy like a milkshake but the taste is just odd, I can see how they were trying to get the flavour but sadly they have missed, it tastes quite powdery and a little grainy, very odd. The shake however kept me feeling very full for a good few hours afterwards so the product definitely does its stuff.
For me I would need to experiment to see how the other flavours match up to this as it also comes in Double Chocolate, Chocolate Mint, Banana, latte, Vanilla Cookie and Strawberry Shortcake. Will I be buying the Cookies and Cream flavour again? I think that’s a no.
