G&T by the sea? why not put the sea in your G&T?

So a while ago I was doing some work in Wale and at a quaint farmers market I came across a stand of gin, drawn like a moth to the flame I just couldn’t say no and came home with this stunning beauty to add to my Gin collection

Dà Mhìle Seaweed Gin

They Say:seaweed gin

42% ABV. Organic Seaweed Gin.

RRP £30

Our latest masterpiece fresh from the still! Launched on 1st of March 2014 (St David’s Day) this seaweed gin is made with a cut-down, hand selected variant of botanicals added to our small batch gin. Designed to complement seafood it is infused with handpicked seaweed from the Celtic coast for three weeks, giving it a lovely light green hue before being triple filtered and bottled.

I Say:

How can I not say no to an organic Gin made in small batches, made in West Wales by a Scandinavian farmer-turned-cheesemaker.  It is infused with seaweed in the final couple of weeks, which does give it a slight greenish hue. It just sounds fantastical.

The bottle itself is gorgeous, simple and effective and the scent is heavenly, it is too good to be diluted with tonic and is ideal sipped neat over ice, the seaweed is a subtle hint which really makes this Gin stand out compared to others. You can smell the normal gin botanicals but then there is this lovely salty ocean taste.

Perfect for a picnic or a BBQ but savoured just that little more by the sea. A definite buy again!
