So I have had some annual leave recently from work and what better way to treat yourself than a lunch in a country pub – todays discovery Titchfield Mill in Fareham
Seasonal food in unspoilt surroundings
The Titchfield Mill in Fareham is a country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
Book a table online and enjoy a spot by our roaring log-fire. Or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in our pretty beer garden.
Yet another Vintage Inn, on the outside it looks like an imposing building, on the inside cute and quirky. It is separated into two areas the bar and restaurant. Full of character, wooden beams and friendly staff it couldn’t be more welcoming, with big cosy leather chairs and plenty to look at.
The menu was prefect for a vegetarian, with more than the usual 3 options (one being tomato pasta) I had the Beer Batter Halloumi with chips and mush peas, which was innovative and delicious and my friend had the Ham Hock which was stunning, with carrots that actually looked organic and fresh.
After the main we couldn’t say no to dessert! the brownie and Amoretti ice cream was delicious and my sticky toffee and apple pudding was also delicious and just the right size.
If you are ever in the area this place wont disappoint!
