I need to start by saying I don’t like Celeb fragrances and I’m really not a huge fan of Britney either, the poor girl really has some issues that need sorting, but enough of that, as well I’m not here to discuss her mental health but more her (or her PR people’s taste in fragrance).
I came across this perfume a few years ago, we I actually asked someone what fragrance they were wearing. Once I heard Britney Spears I’m afraid to say I turned up my nose and that was that. However while recently doing some internet shopping I came across a deal that I couldn’t resist the same perfume but £14.99 for 100ml. The rest shall we say is history.
Circus Fantasy arrived on the market in August 2009. The perfume was created in cooperation with Elizabeth Arden and it introduces notes of fruit, intoxicating flowers and creamy musk. Top notes incorporate juicy raspberry zest and apricot blossom. The heart adds blue peony along with lotus and orchid, while base notes include vanilla, musk and violet candy.
The spectacle opens with juicy accords of sugar-coated raspberry and apricot blossom, reminiscent of tempting candy. The magic continues as blue peony, waterlily and addictive red sweetheart orchid take the limelight with delicious sensations and exhilarating temptations. The grand finale is a captivating sense of seductive sensuality, blending sweet vanilla wood, creamy musks and violet candy.
Okay well her PR team said that, but its a pretty good (if overly decadent) description. This is certainly NOT a sophisticated heavy fragrance. if you looking for something more complex definitely this fragrance is not for you. That being said it is intensely annoyingly irritably likeable. Much like Britney herself! It’s perfect for day-to-day wear as it is light and very very girlie. Its got a musky vanilla scent which lingers but isn’t too overpowering and strong. Perfect for every day office wear, shopping and lunch with the girls. If you looking for something seductive this won’t do it, but playful and ditzy it certainly is.
